Is there a cheap travel case for the Celestron cpc 1100 xlt telescope?

Written on September 1, 2010. Written by admin.

The hard case would be great but it’s way too expensive (539$). Is there something like a cloth travel case that would be a lot less expensive for my telescope?

Dude you have a telescope that costs over $2000, dropping a relatively small amount of money on the carrying case to protect your investment seems like a pretty good idea, but that’s just me.

What is the best ski resort in Northern California for beginners and children?

Written on August 23, 2010. Written by admin.

I would like to learn how to ski but I’m not sure which resort would be the best for me. I also have a young child (5 years) so I would want to stay somewhere where there are plenty of things for kids to do. I also am interested in resorts that provide child care for parents to enjoy the evenings alone. Do any of them have clubs or bars?

Shasta is a nice quiet little resort. Good for beginners but not a full service place. there is no lodging at the resort and the town dies down quick at night.

If you are looking for easy one stop, everything in one place and money is no object Squaw Valley – Tahoe has it all – For a price. The village is huge for Tahoe and has restaurants and clubs galore. It’s a little yuppie and the prices are crazy – but it has it all. I’m not a big fan of the mountain thought.

Northstar at Tahoe is a mini Squaw and for beginners is the best family place for the buck. They are expanding the village and have a more more moderate terrain for beginners than Squaw. The accommodations are pricey but it is also full service – OK night life too.

What is the best way to get from the Cancun airport to the Riu Cancun resort?

Written on August 20, 2010. Written by admin.

There will be two adults arriving at about 2:30 PM at the Cancun airport on April 14th. We need to get from the airport to the Riu Cancun Resort. We will be departing from The resort on April 21st to return to the states. What is the safest way to travel to and from the airport to the resort?

The best company to reserve transport with is Brant.
http://www.entertainment-plus.net
I think the fee is $52.00 round trip for 2/3 people. They are very reliable and highly recommended on the tripadvisor forum. You can also book excursions with this company.

Good Luck

How to get a job in a ski resort working in a chalet?

Written on August 17, 2010. Written by admin.

Im planning on taking a gap year next year and wondering if anyone has info about how to get a job in a resort in Europe, possibly America. Where would i look and what companies should i speak too?

I know in Andorra they are looking for staff in the Arinsal Piste’s
But I think you’d have a better chance of a Job in America… a Gap Year you’ll still need much of the paper-work as if you was working abroad… even though only for 6 months (Europe has less than 6 months of Ski season a year, of which problery only 4 months are open for Business to Tourists)

it depend’s on where you are from, Inside the E.U You’ll be able to work in the Alps but not in Switzerland and Andorra… Spain has some good places but we have mass un-employment…

You’d need to choose a country that you could easily get the paper’s to work for… most places wouldn’t hire you inless you’re allowed to work there

Are there fun things to do in the Bahamas outside of the Atlantis resort?

Written on August 14, 2010. Written by admin.

Right now I am planning a trip to the Bahamas. This Atlantis resort sounds really cool but I don’t want to just stay on the resort the whole vacation. Is there anything fun you can do or visit in Nassau? If not, is the Atlantis resort big enough were you won’t get tired of staying and there won’t be a need to leave it?

I’ve been going to the Bahamas every year since I was 7 and I’m now 19. Every year we go to the same couple places on the island of Abaco. They’re extremely beautiful and you can find fun stuff to do all the time.

The couple places I go are Green Turtle Cay on the Island of Abaco and we stay either at the Bluff House or the Coco Bay Cottages. It’s right on the cay so you have 2 beaches, one on either side of you. One is more rough and we usually go body surfing and boogie boarding there, the other side is more calm and is perfect for playing around in, shelling, and exploring during low tide. Everyone on this part of the island is local and extremely friendly. If you go there, say hi to Brendal who works at the scuba shop!

The other place we go on Abaco which is by FAR my favorite place is Hopetown. It’s a beautiful little town and is seriously the secret treasure of the Bahamas. It’s got extremely friendly people, adorable shops, good food, and amazing beaches. Places to hit up if you go there are Tahiti beach for the BEST shelling, Iggy Biggy boutique, Vernon’s grocers for some AMAZING coconut bread, and Captain Jacks for drinking and dancing!

You can get to these places by ferry if you fly into Marsh Harbour, Abaco in the Bahamas. And I HIGHLY recommend these places!

Another thing to make sure you try in the Bahamas is their signature soda they make and distribute only in the Bahamas. It’s called Goombay Punch and it’s pineapple soda, DELICIOUS!

However, if you’re looking for the tourist experience, I would say to go to the Atlantis resort. There’s plenty of tourists there to make friends with.

Where can i find a cheap family resort in the Caribbeans or the Virgin Islands?

Written on August 11, 2010. Written by admin.

My family needs a good get away and we are interested in a resort somewhere beautiful. We are looking for a cheaper resort that is nice. We’re looking to spend no more than $5,000. We looked at the Beaches resorts and that is what we are looking for but we want more options.

check out www.cheapCaribbean.com…they always have great deals including flight to places like the Dominican Republic. My husband and I went there last year and it was 1500 for an all inclusive 5 nights and flight. the rooms were really nice too. Also, try Travelzoo.com’s top 20 for the week. You can usually get good deals there too!

Cheap travel plan for 2 weeks in England?

Written on August 4, 2010. Written by admin.

I need help here =D

I’ve never traveled overseas in my life but I have fully explored Canada and the U.S. I live in Canada and have been dying to go to England for so long. Has anyone ever gone before who could help me out?

How much would it cost for cheap plane tickets and cheap rooms and such? I have 2000 CAN saved up so for. Would that be enough?

I’m sorry for being clueless. How long is the flight from Toronto to London? Thanks for any help!

About 7 hours going, 8 hours returning, minimum, if going nontstop

Budget about $750 U.S. for the flight and $100 U.S. per day for low cost accommodation. For food, figure about 2x what you would pay at home. You’ll also want some money for entertainment and trains. You will be cutting it close but see if you can find low priced airfare then you’ll have more money for the rest.

Of course, prices will vary depending on what time of year you travel, if you fly mid-week and return mid-week, etc.

I spent a summer in England. You can easily spend two weeks in London without getting bored. You can also take trains to Edinburgh, Cardiff, Oxford, and Bath, all very interesting places. You can usually find B&Bs in those places. London is more expensive than the rest of the country, of course.
